SYM ADXTG 400 Fog/Spotlight Bracket Installation Guide

🛠️ SYM ADXTG 400 Fog/Spotlight Bracket Installation Guide

1. Gather Your Parts & Tools

  • Bracket kit for SYM ADXTG 400 (usually includes left/right steel brackets, bolts, nuts, spacers)

  • Fog/spotlights

  • Appropriate allen keys, wrenches (often 8–10 mm), and screwdriver

  • Thread locker (optional but recommended)

2. Prep the Fork Area

  • Clean the fork legs and any mounting surfaces with a rag to remove dirt or grease.

  • Ensure all loose accessories or cables are temporarily removed for easy access.

3. Mount the Bracket to the Fork

  • Position the bracket around the fork—typically above the front axle or near the fork clamp bolts.

  • Align the bracket holes with the factory mounting point (could be an existing fender bolt or fork clamp hole).

  • Insert provided bolts and spacers; tighten loosely at first to allow alignment adjustments.

4. Install the Fog Lights

  • Attach each fog/spotlight to its bracket using the supplied mounting bolts.

  • Adjust the beam angle: lights should point straight ahead or slightly downward.

  • Once aligned, tighten securely—but don’t over‑torque.

5. Tighten All Fasteners

  • Go back to each bracket and fork clamp bolt, tightening to a secure torque—usually snug, but check manual specs if available.

  • Apply thread locker to bolts for resistance to vibration.

6. Wire the Lights

  • Route the wiring along the fork, avoiding pinch points and zip‑tie to the fork tube or wiring loom.

  • Connect to your bike’s electrical system—either to the battery, fuse box, or tapped into the switch system.

  • Use a relay & in‑line fuse (e.g. 10 A) for safety and to protect wiring.

7. Test the Lights

  • Start the bike and flip the switch. Ensure both lights work and shine evenly.

  • Check tightness after a short ride—vibration can loosen fasteners.

8. Final Adjustments

  • Re-adjust beam aim as needed.

  • Tidy up wiring, secure any loose ends, and re‑install any removed fairings or fender parts.

⚠️ Quick Tips

  • Many kits fit multiple bikes, so reference the YouTube tutorial for general bracket installation techniques.

  • Use quality hardware—even if the kit includes basic bolts, upgrading to stainless steel with proper washers can improve longevity.

  • Always fuse and switch your lights for protection and legality.
